Our Mission

Turning "I wonder"
into "I can."

The Curiosity Consultant's Lab is a place to turn “I wonder” into “I can.” We believe that the best way to learn is by doing. And who better to help your child than you? Their first teacher!

Instead of worrying about making a “perfect” project, we focus on the process of exploring and how it can help their lifelong development. This site is here to help you slow down, get your hands moving, and discover how we grow through discovery and curiosity.

How will this help families?

For Families

Use our guides to find easy ways to connect with your children. These activities not only build valuable developmental skills but also everyday-life skills, helping you and your child stay calm, focused, and happy as you try new things together.

For Professionals

Get simple, science-backed ideas that you can use in your classroom with families right away. We take the “big ideas” about how children learn and turn them into fun, hands-on lessons that don't feel like "work" to children.

How to Use This Lab in 3 Simple Steps

1

Pick an activity

Start with The Secret Sketch Study or The Pebble Path. Don't worry if you don't have fancy supplies; most activities use things you already have at home.

2

The Messy Middle

The goal isn't to make a masterpiece. It is important for your child to notice how things feel, look, and change. Ask questions like, “What happens if you add this?” or “Why do you think it feels like that?”

3

Reflect and Connect

Use the “Talk Prompts” (found under the resources tab) to help children (and adults) handle the frustrations or surprises that come along with creating. This builds confidence and stronger relationships.

How does this help my child's development?

The Lab is here to help children build their “brain's control center” by practicing planning, focusing, and solving problems through creative play and discovery. When children make their own choices with materials, they become more independent and learn to trust their own ideas.

By focusing on the process instead of a perfect result, they build the confidence to try new things and keep going after a mistake. These simple moments of discovery help your child gain the skills they need to feel capable and curious every day.
